How To Make Your Own Natural Kitchen Soap

Have you ever wondered how these companies make their soap and what are some of these ingredients they put in it? Well all those big name ingredients which you can’t pronounce are chemicals that help either preserve the soap or is an additive so they can make more money. The truth is you only need a few ingredients and you can make it yourself!


1. Dishwashing Soap


  • Empty bottle
  • 1/2 a cup of castile soap
  • 1 teaspoon of tea tree oil
  • 1/8 a cup of purified water
  • 1 tablespoon of vinegar

Just mix everything in the bottle by shaking it thoroughly and you now have your own dishwashing soap!

2. Handsoap


  • Get an empty foaming soap dispenser (just save the one you have now!)
  • 1/4 parts castile soap
  • 2 – 3 drops of peppermint essential oil
  • 3/4 parts distilled water

Just mix everything up and you now have your own hand soap!

3. Dishwasher Detergent

Step 1 – Get a mixing bowl & a whisk

Step 2 – Add 1 tablespoon of salt, 2 cups of borax, and 2 cups of baking soda.

Step 3 – Add 1 cup of Lemi Shine

Step 4 – MIx it all together and store in airtight container

Use 2 tablespoons per load and add white vinegar in the rinse compartment.
