5 Essential Oils For Natural Hair Growth & Vibrancy

If you are concerned that you might be losing your hair or just really want to see your hair shine and your scalp stay nice and smooth, here are the 5 best oils for natural hair growth and maintenance. Keep in mind these are the core ingredients that many of the expensive hair products use and you can buy these yourself from Amazon saving you a ton of money!

1. Coconut Oil

Coconut oil has to be one of our most favorite products because it truly is one of those “cure all” products. The medium chain triglycerides in coconut oil prevents the loss of proteins and replaces the natural oils lost when you shampoo your hair.

2. Olive Oil

Most hair loss is caused by the hormone Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) and olive oil helps stop DHT from affecting your hair in this way. Olive oil is also known for enriching your scalp with nutrients that keeps your hair rich and full as well as ridding your skin of free radicals because it is loaded with antioxidants. If you want that rich shiny look that models have, olive oil is the trick they use!

3. Lavender Oil

Lavender oil is one of the best ways to fight Alopecia areata (the most common reason people lose their hair). Because it is a powerful antiseptic, the disinfecting properties fight off many viruses, fungi, and microbes which causes so many problems with peoples hair.

4. Castor Oil

Castorl oil is another one of those “cure all” ingredients and because of its Ricinoleic Acid property (a strong anti-bacterial and anti-fungicidal agent), it protects the hair and scalp from infections. The omega-9 fatty acids and humectant properties in the oil moisturize and nourish hair leaving it thick, shiny and strong

5. Jojoba Oil

The way jojoba oil works is very simple: instead of penetrating your hair it actually seals up the hair folicle to keep the moisture in. Our bodies secrete a natural oil called sebum and we lose this oil over time. Jojoba oil helps keep it in!

bags under eyes

[adsense]

At a certain age, we all start to experience puffiness or dark circles around the eyes. If you search the web you will find all sorts of reasons why it happens and remedies. Here are the most common reasons why people get bags under their eyes:

  1. Fat under the eyes – Some of us are genetically prone to have fat under the eyes.
  2. Deviated septum – Your doctor can tell you if you have this.
  3. Fluid Retention – Your body is holding on to too much water
  4. Dehydration – Not drinking enough water
  5. Poor Diet – Are you eating lots of fast or processed foods?
  6. Not enough sleep – Most people are not getting enough sleep or “quality sleep”
  7. High sodium – Is your diet high in sodium?

So what are some natural solutions to ridding yourself of those bags under your eyes? Just remember that each solutions validity will be based on “why” it is happening for you. So you need to take the time to find out what is going on.

Raw potato – Slice it and put the inside (not skin) on your eyes. You want to cut the potato so that it will fit nicely around your eye

Cold Cucumber Slices – This is the most common used remedy. Sometimes it works and others not so much. Give it a try and see what happens!

Green Tea Ice Cube Wrapped In Gauze – Take some green tea and put it in an ice tray. Take that green tea ice cube, wrap it in some gauze, and then touch it under your eye.

Used Tea Bags (with caffeine) – Boil some water, put in one tea bag (black tea or something with caffeine, and once it has been soaked, use the tea bag and touch it under your eyes.

Lower Your Sodium Intake – If sodium is the reason, lower your intake.

Drink More Water – If you are dehydrated, drink more water. You can tell if you are dehydrated if your tongue is dry.

Sleep More – If you are not sleeping well, find a way to get better sleep.

Exercise So You Break A Sweat – Exercise is very important but you must break a sweat!

Raw Cacao For Clearer Skin

More people are turning to a raw food diet because we now know that most cooked foods are void of nutrients. But can raw cacao help give you clearer skin?

New research from the Journal of Nutrition suggests that flavanols—phytochemicals found in cacao—may actually better your complexion and even help protect against sun damage.

For 12 weeks, 24 women drank a raw cacao drink with either 329 mg or 29 mg of flavanols per serving. The women in the high-flavanol group showed improvements in their skin’s circulation, texture, structure and—perhaps most promising of all—defense against UV irradiation.

“Photoprotection may be due to the antioxidant activities or the UV-filtering properties of cocoa flavanols,” explains study author Wilhelm Stahl, who notes that antioxidant-rich foods like green tea and tomatoes may also offer UV protection.

You can find some raw cacao here.

Just mix it with a smoothie or in some juice!

Beautiful Skin Comes From Within

natural skin remedies

While many people focus on their outer layer by buying all types of skincare products, what most fail to realize is that true beautiful skin comes from the inside out. Why is that?

Because the healthy fats which come from Omega-3 oils lubricate your skin from the inside out. Your skin is another living organ and its the healthy oils that keep it nice and smooth.

Some of the best sources of natural occurring Omega-3 comes from salmon. However, you need to be careful about the salmon you eat because some of it can be highly toxic with all the mercury. Plus you can’t eat it every day.

One of the best sources of Omega-3 is Udo’s Choice Oil Blend. Take a tablespoon a day and this will give you all the healthy fats not only for your skin, but your brain as well.

3 Natural Ingredients For Smooth Skin

[adsense]

After the age of 30, the skin on our face starts to show some wear and tear and this is when people start to spend a lot of money on skincare products. I am always weary of some of these products out there especially when I can’t pronounce some of the ingredients.

But when the day came when it was time to start exploring wrinkle creams, I remember my friends mom and her very radiant skin. So what does she use?

So far one of the best products I have found for keeping your face wrinkle free is aloe gel, rosewater, and olive oil (all organic of course). These are the best products I found:

Put a teaspoon of each in a small bowl or cup and mix it together and put it on your face like a lotion. Make sure you can leave it on for at least 5 hours before you put any water on your face.

Taking care of your skin is something you need to do every day if you don’t want to wake up older one day and see a ton of wrinkles pop up!
